Been a long time. I shouldn't have left you.

I'm on sabbatical from the blog until further notice due to school work. And the economy. Fucking economy.

Finale

So I "finished" this project. Here's the final on the right.
As you can see, it went through a lot of changes.

I whipped this bitch up in a five hour marathon. From about ten something at night when I got off work until three something in the morning.

I decided to do it because my original(on the left) wasn't really up to the technical snuff.
The lines were so fine that you couldn't see some of them on a print out let alone a silk screened t-shirt.

I want to keep working on it, but I dont think there's a really good reason to do so.
Time to move on I suppose.
One more project and I can get back to my anatomy stuff.

Take two and pass

Just to prove that I have been busy, here's an in progress shot of my latest work. The big arrow is to help me with shading. The colors aren't final either.

Trees

Anatomy will have to go on hold for awhile. Ive started working on a new project. A girl swinging under a tree.
Starting with some tree sketches.

Hmm, this might be a little small, Ill see how well this loads and maybe put a higher res one later.

Part of the reason that Ive been gone so long is that I was working on this, among other things. Now with hastily scrawled in redlines.

Turn around.

So here's a turnaround or whatever you call it. I messed around with brushes a bit after that, but it looked rather sloppy and I didn't really learn anything so I cut it all.

Also I mus remember to choose eye friendlier colors next time. Ouch.

EDIT: Text in red was added later. Mybad.

Ok, profile now. With a few landmarks that I'm picking up for moving around. I use lots more, so Ill try adding them to other sketches I draw.

This probably looks familiar to people, and Ive seen this before as well. Its off this site and probably has another, earlier source.

I must post before I go to work! Quick! Like a bunny!

On begininngs, futures, and necks.

Ive decided to only post pictures I do on my Wacom on a regular basis. The reasons for this are two fold. Posting digital pictures is much less work than dragging out my scanner and copying my other works, and secondly it forces me to practice my digital work more.

So for the first official post, I present armatures and reference skeleton!
The first one was just off the top of my head using some references I picked up, just to see what I could do with out a refrence.
After that I chopped off his head, made eight copies and stacked them up and then used that for the next armature. For reference.
Not bad, but I forgot his knees on the first one.
And finally I found a reference, and cut his head off and etc. For more refrence.
Hmm, necks are too short.

Inaugeral Post

Yeah for starting new things. It all seems so new and fresh. Lets see if I can dirty things up a little bit.

To explain further, this is my art blog. Both a testament to my growing skill and to my dedication. Hopefully I will be able to meet some new people, and learn some new things. I might even pick some HTML while I'm at it. Im all excited. Are you?
